Report: Numerous WWE Legends Could Be Appearing On SmackDown's USA Network Debut

Multiple WWE Legends could reportedly be appearing on the upcoming SmackDown debut on the USA Network.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, several WWE Legends are being advertised for the July 19 episode of Friday Night SmackDown at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The report states that these Legends will be appearing in dark matches, which are matches that are not televised but are held before or after the live broadcast.

The specific Legends who are being advertised have not been revealed, but Meltzer speculates that they could include names such as Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, and Bret Hart. These Legends have all been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and are considered to be some of the greatest wrestlers of all time.

It is not yet known what role these Legends will play on SmackDown, but they are likely to be used to promote the show's debut on the USA Network.

SmackDown has been airing on Fox since 2019, but it is moving to the USA Network as part of a new television deal with NBCUniversal. The move is expected to give SmackDown a wider reach and a larger audience.

The appearance of WWE Legends on SmackDown's USA Network debut is a sign that the company is looking to make a big splash with the show's new home. These Legends are sure to attract a lot of attention and help to generate excitement for SmackDown's future on the USA Network.
